Default Real Carbon fiber body on a HPI RS4

This is a custom one off real carbon fiber body made by yours truly. It is on a roller HPI RS4. I have everything to make it ready to run if your interested also. I have no idea what to ask for this so I am gonna say $300 and see what happens. I know I have 0 posts on this forum, but I work with carbonman and I know he is a trusted member of this site so I am sure he can verify that I am legit. Thanks for looking.

Thanks! I read your p.m. but I will answer it here because I am sure it will be a popular question. I can do pretty much any body out of cf, but the price would drive any normal person away. They are very labor intensive, plus materials aren't cheap.

I will try to post some pice of the inside of the body this afternoon.

Very spendy. They are very labor intensive. To start with you need 2 of the same body. 1 for a donor to mold off of and one to cut up to use the windows. Then I have to very carefully reinforce the lexan body otherwise it will collapse when it gets molded. The body gets molded and once the mold is cured it takes me half a day to pull the original lexan body out of the mold. Usually the lexan body sticks to the mold and it pulls the outer film of lexan off so there is lots of pulling tiny hard to grab pieces and lots of swearing. Then the film that is left behind has to get buffed out of the mold. Buffing a mold the size of an R/C car is real fun too. Once that is all done the mold gets post cured and prepped for making a part. I take the other original body and make templates for my carbon pieces. It is like a complex little jigsaw puzzle to make sure all the seams line up and are placed on body lines so they are undetectable in the final part. Then I cut the material, put my jigsaw puzzle together in the mold, vacuum bag it, and cure it in an oven overnight. Pop the part out in the morning and start the trimming process using diamond grit wheels and a surgeons precision. All this using top of the line composite materials.

So to answer your question depending on how complex the body is, and if there is a wing or not it would probably be around $1000 for the mold and the first part, and $300 for each part after the mold is made. So as crazy as most of us are I doubt there are many crazy enough to spend that on a body? But who knows if someone really is interested let me know.

So the body plus a chassis I am selling is actually a pretty good price. I am willing to take offers if anyone is interested. Also would consider a PS3 trade.
