Default BMI DB12R Chassis - Upgrades + Extras!

BMI DB12R - meticulously built - only raced exactly 4 times this winter season. I am the original owner.

The Servo in the chassis is the Futaba S9650. I bought it new as well.

Only raced on carpet. There is hardly a scratch on it!

The car is very fast, but I just don't have time to race at the moment. This is a great package for somebody that wants to jump into 12th scale and start racing. Just add electronics and go racing!

Everything that comes in the original BMI kit will be included. All of the spacers, screws, shims, rear ride height adjusters and other bits are there, along with some spare 4/40 screws and 8/32 front lower arm screws. Check the pic of the rear adjusters. I color coded them to make it easier to pick out the ones I needed quickly.

The carbon chassis parts edges were all filed, sanded, and sealed with CA. (except for the upgraded side wing brace)

Upgrades on the Chassis:
  • BMI DB4050 - 3mm rear Axle Shim - alloy 3mm
This is a 3mm wide machined aluminum axle shim. It is designed to bring the rear track of a DB12R to the 1/12th class limit of 172mm.
  • BMI DB1041 - Connected Chassis Side Wings 3mm C/F
Stiffens the chassis even more for high bite carpet
  • The dif is built with IRS Silicone Nitride Ceramic dif balls and a PRS 92-tooth pro-lite spur. It is buttery smooth and quiet! I'm including the Kimbrough 88-tooth spur and the stock steel dif balls from the kit.
  • The kit comes with unflanged front wheel bearings. I'm including a seat of 4 flanged front wheel bearings from Boca bearings to use with CRC and Jaco Prism front wheels. These are the Ultraseal grade bearings, not the cheap ones!
  • I switched the front 8/32 lower arm screws to socket drive Stainless Steel ones from SpeedMerchant. Much easier to work with and stonger.
  • I polished the kingpins, and the front suspension is super smooth!
  • Custom bumper by me. ;-)

Extra Parts: All of the front-end plastic parts
  • IRS 4221 - IRS Lower Suspension Arm Kit
  • IRS 4045 - VCS Micro shock rebuild it
  • IRS 203BK - Nylon Diff Nuts
  • IRS Machined aluminum ball studs (silver) 2 short / 2 medium / 2 long
  • Associated 8411 Upper Susp. Arm Eyelet
  • Associated 8421 Offset steering block
  • Associated 8405 Upper susp. Arms
  • Associated Red VCS shock spring
  • Associated Blue VCS shock spring

Also included are some used tires and 2 painted bodies:

CRC Hi Rollers Fr. - Magenta - 42.5mm (still a few runs left)
Jayco Prism Rear - Grey - 45.5mm - edges are glued (1 small chunk on outside of 1 tire - plenty of rubber left)

2 painted bodies. One Protform 12 and one 12b. The 12b was cut and mounted but never used. The 12 has I 2 runs on it I think.
Those should get you started.

There is a PRS NIP spur gear in the parts pic that is not included in this deal!

I'm asking $300 shipped to the US for all of it.

Reasonable offers will be considered also

If you want the chassis and parts without the servo in it, send me a PM and we can figure it out.

Paypal is my preferred method of payment!

Paypal address: [email protected]

Come and get it!

SOLD!
