Hello....
I created an acct so I could respond here. I'm interested in your counter setup. I went to the link but had a few questions if you don't mind.
The info reads that the "The number of receiving modules required just depends on the track width under the counter bridge."
But yet the following pic
shows 4 counters across the 1.5m it spans.
My question if I understand this correctly is at 1.5m wide, the track can support only 4 receivers thus you can only have 4 transponders (cars on the track)
In order to run more cars, you have to have a wider track in order to add more receivers???
If you could explain this to me, I'd greatly appreciate it.
I ask because we usually run 8-10 cars in a race and I obviously can't make my track over 3m wide just to add more receivers.
Thanks,
Mark

The receivers that go obove the track on the bridge will cover an area about 1 foot on both sides. We figure that the beams will overlap each other so that the transponder will be detected no matter where the car is.You can run 8 cars on a 3ft wide track and you would probably use 4 receivers. You do not need a receiver for each car.Another scenario would be a 1 ft wide track with one receiver and 10 cars. There are enough receivers to do a 8 ft track if you wanted to.I hope this helps. We never used this unit, but most of the guys have a pretty good understanding of how it works.

Ahhhh, completely makes sense. I apologize, I thought you needed a receiver for each transponder.
