Does anybody know what paint can be used on the outside of a lexan body shell to get a matte or flat finish or look.

A buddy of mine used Dupli-color vinyl and fabric coating from advance auto.

He scuffed the body with scotchbrite and then painted.

This was done on the nose of a late model dirt oval car. Looked just like a real late model.

Tamiya makes a lexan-specific matte clearcoat.

I've used Tamiya's flat clear to achieve the matte look, PS-55.

I used duplicolor semi gloss black on the back of a SC truck, behind cab. Its held up well but its in an area with low contact.

I use a Rustoleum product under the Painters Touch brand. Matte clear.
