Default Body Mounting

I didn't see a thread for mounting bodies, and it seemed to fit here. Fire away!

Anyone else find that the wheel well cutouts on their body dont match their car? Ive got a mazda 6 Im trying to mount on a TC4, and the wheel wells on the body dont match the car. I can get fron or rear matched, but then the other side is off enough so if I cut the holes where they ned to be to fit I have gone outside of even teh fender flare a bit. I guess the solution is "get a body that fits better"

That is normal, dont worry about it unless you are just a perfectionist. Most body shells have wheel outlines and they are never right. Stick with the Mazda it is an excellent body.

I thought about the wheelbase variable, but I am misalligned by more than I can adjust my wheelbase, even if I wanted to do that. I am with quiglee I guess. I'll line up the front and let the fear fall where it may.

You surely weren't considering changing your wheelbase in order to have your shell fit better??!!

I would much rather have the car handling how I want it than have the wheels fit perfectly in the arches. I can't even tell from a distance that the arches aren't where the shell is moulded for them to be.

Just my 2c

lol. No I wouldn't have changed it, but I took into consideration that they might have created the outlines with the car centered on its wheelbase. Thats why I said "even if I wanted to" I was just looking for an explanation.

Position the front wheels centered in the moldings and then cut the rear wheels where they come.
