Default Anyone able to mould/make shells

Hi,

I have been given a sample body to try on a modded 10th off road buggy, which is fine design wise but is not made from the usual material but a more brittle plastic. Basically, before I destroy my only example I was wondering if there is anywhere I can send the existing shell to who could make a mould from it and produce a couple of polycarb copies in the usual rc material (and then have a mould available for future use).

Does anywhere offer that type of service?

Thanks!

Perhaps try the Team Blue Goove. They repop a lot of vintage and 90's bodies and sell them on ebay under the same seller name. They are located in Canada, but are the most widely known body remolding service. Be prepared to spend some money though.

You might want to take a look at this thread. There's lots of talk about recreating bodies by using Durhams water putty. Maybe you can make your own mold and have someone else vacuum form it for you. It'll be a lot less if you make your own mold and just have someone press it. I made a mold to a discontinued body I love and found a local shop that will press the bodies for me for around 10 bucks each including material if I order a certain quantity.
