Default Cheapest place to buy Iwata HP-CS

Ok, I've made my mind up...

My choices were :

Paasche VL
Badger 150
Iwata HP-CS

I decided to go with the Iwata HP-CS (hope that was the right decision of the three), and am now surfing to find the best price online. The cheapest I have found is $119 shipped on Ebay.

If anyone has any sites that ship internationally, please let me know thanks...

The Iwata is the way to go. I have both an Iwata and Badger 150 and the Iwata is hands down the better to use for R/C bodies of the two.

Found a good price for ya.

Don't be turned off by a used brush, if you can find on (if it's in good condition). I got mine on ebay for 46 and it's in perfect condition.

The only problem with Iwatas is that that's the cost just for the airbrush. You'll also need to get a hose. I would also highly highly recommend springing for the quick release hose and connector. Makes cleanings between colors much easier.

There's no need to shell out the extra cash for the CS model. Get an Iwata Revolution (top or bottom feed...it's up to you) for less than $60. If you order form dixieart, anything over $45 is free shipping.

(and don't forget the hose )

BCS is siphon feed, I think. There's nothing really bad about siphon feed. Each type of airbrush has its advantages...

Siphon feeds use color cups and can have adaptors that connect entire bottles which can be super convenient. Its easier to mix paint (in the color cup) and you can lay down more paint without refilling with a siphon feed brush. Siphon feed brushes need more air pressure to work their best though, because you're fighting gravity.

Gravity (HP-CS) feed brushes can use lower pressures, which can do more controlled details, because gravity is working with the bernouli (sp?) effect. They also clean easier, because there is a shorter path for the paint. However, they hold less paint and need to be refilled more often for large areas.

Side feed try and take the best of both worlds, but I'm not sure if it pulls it off better than just using siphon of gravity feed.

With the CS then I wouldn't have the overspray mist like I do with the VL, CORRECT?

Does either the siphon or gravity fed airbrushes have more cabilities or are they pretty equal? As in fine lines, and broad coverage?

Guys, right now Dixie Art will be down for a short while because of the hurricane/flooding. they are located on the north side of town but with all of the destruction, they will prob. be closed for a short while. On the main page of their site it makes reference to not sending anything until a new addy can be set up.

Anyone know the differences between the Eclipse line and the Revolution? I have a HP-BCS Eclipse and looking to add a gravity feed for detail work on bodies and plastic models. I'm leaning toward the Eclipse again but want to know what I would be losing by going with the cheaper Revolution.
