HVLP detail gun
Ok guys I know a lot of you out there have an HVLP detail gun as do I. My question to you is what kind of compressor are you using to get the thing to spray? The only way I can get mine to work is to hook it up to shop air at work.
Second question is are you thinning it to make it spray easier in conjunction with a smaller compressor. Speaking of compressors, the one I have is an air brush compressor mounted to a 2 gallon tank. Max pressure is about 60 psi. Is this what some of you are using with the detail gun?

Your little compressor doesnt put out enough volume. It probably only puts out 1cfm or less. For detail guns, most needs at least 3-5 cfm.

I use a small GMC compressor. http://www.amazon.com/GMC-SYCLONE-Ul...gmc+compressor
I use my HVLP gun to spray liquid masking. If I have multiple bodies to do, I do need to pause for a minute to let the pressure build back up. I'm pretty much at the bare bones minimum at 3.8 CFM
