Ive recently started doing my own chassis skins with my own art work but I have had alot of people request "team logos" from rc companies. I see alot of people doing it but how does this work with copyrights to the companies logos?

when in doubt- ask the companies.

However, since you're promoting their products, few have any problems with it. Ironically, Monster Energy is the only brand I know of that has ever limited its branding use and everybody and their mother use it

But I do admire your consideration to at least ask

I know Team Associated has their logos on their website for download.

Technically you can't just use their logos, however, as someone stated very few appear to have any issue with it and in effect most have given some kind of general permission.

I sent out emails to the ones I wanted to use and in return the companies wanted to see the artwork.

Most all RC companies will grant permission without much trouble and may even send you correct logo in vector format.
