Default Paint Pulling Up

I use some paint masks I cut out on the vinyl cutter. Sometimes when there is a sharp turn or corner on the mask, it pulls the paint up with it when I pull the mask off. The paint leaves a very thin layer on the body then the rest comes off, just in a very small area.

How come? Not drying enough? Too much paint build up?

I am airbrushing on parma paint, some thinned, some not.

thin the paint...even the waterbased stuff. too thick and it will pull up like that. use a heat gun to help with curing if you're in a hurry.

Not cured yet. It's a problem especially where there is a fair amount of build up and hasn't been dried in between coats. If one coat goes over another and it isn't dry yet, it takes longer to cure. Heat set between coats if your in a rush and do light coats. Heavy coats take longer to cure than you may think. I have ruined a helmet paint job and then had to sand it all down and start from base coat again because I didn't let it cure well enough and I shot too heavy.

Simple answer it's not dry enough.
