Default Tamiya Body not very clear or glossy?

I recently ordered the TT01 E30 M3 kit, I've already assembled the car and now i'm working on the body. The body its self was not that clear or glossy so i went ahead and cut it out, prepped it and painted it. The result was an almost flat white appearance.

I used "Tamiya TS-26 PURE WHITE" from tower hobbies.

So at this point I have around 3 light coats of the white inside the body, should I polish the outside with some sort of compound? paint the outside? Not sure what to do at this point im just letting the paint dry until I have a plan to fix it.

Thanks, Patrick

Did you paint the body on the outside??? or... Did you remove the overspray film from the outside of the body???? These reasons will cause the paint job to not be glossy. Tamiya bodies are always crystal clear.

Haha I can't believe I overlooked that, I read about it in the instructions but it wasn't that noticeable when I was cutting it out and I forgot all about it, Thank you!!

LOL .... stuff like this happens to everyone at some point. When I first started I once Masked all the windows sprayed it and when I removed the overspray film realised I put the rear window mask on the outside . LOL
