I use Createx paint on my shells.
Never had any problems with it chipping or not adhering to the body. Just make sure to heat set each layer with a hair dryer and you should be good to go.

Just to add to what fllyer said. After you finish the whole body just back the whole thimg with createx white and let it dry completely (like an hour if not the aeresol paint will bleed through) then spray rustoleum crystal clear laquer over it like 3 light coats and it will keep the paint from falling off. If you dont clear coat it you could just run your nail over it and the paint will fall right off. Also I always back the transparent paints with opaque colors or white. Hope this helps. If you have any questions pm me. Here is a few bodies I painted with createx paint.

Do they adhere well? Well yes and no.
While they do attach to the body they do not form a chemical bond with the lexan so it can be scratched pretty easily. As others have mentioned backing the paint work with Rust O-Leum Crystal Clear Enamel helps protect your paint work.
Another thing you can do to get better adhession is to scuff the shell with a scotch brite pad. Do this in all areas you want to paint, except areas you want to paint chrome. By scuffing the surface you give the paint an uneven surface to attach to. The paint will flow into the small scratches in the body and adhere much better than it would to a none scuffed body.
You can also try heating the shell up with a hair drier prior to laying down any color and then heat it again after the color has been sprayed. I dont know if this is true or not but my guess is the heat opens up pours in the lexan and allows the paint to flow into them and attach more readily to the shell.
Have fun painting.

I use all Createx, Auto Air and Faskolor.
I do not scuff all my bodies because alot of them contain chrome in the mix.
I regular prep the bodies layout the colors and then apply paint making sure i cure all coats in between with a hair dryer.
Seal the paint afterwards with FasKoat or Createx Gloss Topcoat and your done.
I only use Rust Oleum Clear on bodies that contain no chrome.
I have found that it clouds or blemishes the chrome and it has been
mentioned in here before.

I wash mine with soap and water, wipe the body with denatured alcohol and then paint. And if I remember I spray the body with adhesion promoter.
