Default D'oh! I mad a mistake...

I just started painting my first body and I made the mistake of overspraying.

What happend was the paint was so thick and wet that it caused the windows mask to shrink and shrivel like a piece of paper. So needless to say paint got in to the wrong side of the windows. I was wondering if it possible to remove these mistakes? Using paint thinner or a razor blade?

Is there any hope left for this body or is it going to have the bloody window look (cuz I painted it red)?

Thanks for any help. Remember I'm very new at this so any help needs to be detailed. Thanks!

I would not use thinner as it will fog the clear lexan. Just take you knife blade and gently scrape away the offending paint. If you lay the edge down on the body you can scrape it away without scratching up the body too much.

yup... thinner will do the job. a little foggy to your lexan... but at least the offending smear was gone.

BUT...

WHAT KIND OF PAINT DID YOU USE...

until it eats your window masking?

i never heard a LEXAN paint can eat a masking!!!

or another question...

WHAT KIND of MASKING did you use?

Default normal polycarbonate paint

I used normal polycarbonate paint. Tamiya brand actually. I just sprayed it on too thick. I didn't "eat" anything so to speak. Its like what happens when you leave a piece of paper in the rain or something, it shrivels and isn't flat anymore.

The masking I used were what came with the body. It was a Protoform Mazda 6 body.

Thanks for all the help.
