Did you use an air brush or can? What did you use for masking? Looks Good!

You're right on the money with the blue painter's tape. There is a difference. I only use the 3M brand. Paint looks good. Now ya gotta get some cool stickers to give it that scale appearance.

i think it looks great, i too like the kiss method. my first body was a kyosho turbo ultima, circa 1986. still have the body though the cars long gone. guess i couldnt part with it. like yours it was a strong but simple layout. good strong colors and straight boarders.

im just doing my first body now.. have stuffed up a bit, im glad its mainly a basher... its an orange jammin x1 RJsport body for a hyper 7 electric..

painted orange, ran out of orange, sprayed with fluro red to make it thicker, realised ive scratched a bit of the orange off and now it looks dodge. will cover it with a sticker... also spraying the windows smoke, and the smoke likes to collect around the edges of the masking and make it black...

ah well, will post pics when its done

It looks really nice to me, just remember to deploy internally the white spray film to protect you job, that BTW it is really really well done indeed.
