Paint spray on glasses?
I recently painted my first body and seem to have gotten some paint on my expensive glasses. They have microscopic little dots of paint on them.Does anyone know of a way to get it off? They are plastic transition lenses so I'm afraid to try anything on them.

I wear glasses and I get paint on them all the time. Depending on what paint you used, you can use rubbing alcohol. It will take water-based paint right off.

Thanks I'll give it a whirl. I used RC body paint though. I'm pretty sure it's not water based.

Hello NoobSauce
I am in technical service for Transitions Optical. Your inquiry came up in a Google Alert for Transitions products.
Did you return to your eye care professional that dispensed your eyewear to see if they could help remove the paint overspray?
You must be careful with any cleaning method, not only for the lenses but to avoid damaging the frames.
You are welcome to give me a call at 800.533.2081 x7225, I will see if there is any way I can help you clean the lenses without causing damage to your eyewear.

Just think if Nova Rossi or RB or JP or any the other motor companies responded like that. Nah, I just dreaming.

That's because Google charges a lot for these services, and Transitions Optical pulls in over $350M USD a year and has like 1200 employees. Novarossi is like 15 people and a few million at best. Basically a small business vs. a fortune 200 company.
