I think that was an HPI shell.

And you gotta do the fender flares with some kind of texture paint on the outside, or it just looks wrong.

Yup that's what mine is HPI. Ya the fender flares will look weird all pretty and glossy. I may have to at least go get some of that matte finish that you spray on the outside to get the look. We'll see. What did you use on the one you did?
