Im using signcut pro. A lot of user use Flexi sign as well.
Obviously SNIPR is just trolling. If he had a valid point with anything proven, he would have posted something HELPFUL. I'll give him another day to respond, then he will just get an infraction for being a turd. Yeah...now im REALLY being funny now.

I currently us the program that came with my cutter. Sign Blazer. It is OK. When I get a new cutter I will upgrade. I do not know what at this time though.
Well this depends if you want a flatbed cutter or if you want a standardized plotter. I personally run a Graphtec FC series machine in my shop $4500 machine. I also run another Graphtec 24" machine for travel during shows, etc.
So Graphtec's FC series is by far one of the best if not the best. However, if you want true tangential control & not emulation then Summa T series would be by far the best starting at $5999 for a 30" machine. I have been in the sign business since 1992... What you guys are after is what I consider right above hobby grade standards, such as Graphtec CE series would be great. Don't get me wrong Rolands make some of the best printers, but when it comes to plotters they just don't stand up to the competition. Rolands top of the line GX Pro series machines are close to equal to Graphtecs CE series. Absolutely no comparison to their FC series. Stay away from anything that that is named after an animal cost under $1200 these will not come with digital servos but instead replaced with stepping motors (Stikas, etc.)
To be honest I forgot all about this thread... I don't think of an R/C forum for sign making - sorry. If you want to learn more about vinyl plotters, etc., try www.signs101.com for starters...
I personally use Corel X4, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop CS4 and Flexisign Pro 8.1 & 8.5 for all of my work in house. 8.6 is now out if interested in dropping $3000 on software alone..?
P.S. Graphtec comes standard with drivers for cutting directly out of Corel/Illustrator. So does Roland btw. Or if you already have Illustrator/Corel I would recommend CoCut as I would think Pro would be over doing it for what you guys are after. I think its about $400

LMAO - HaHaHaHa - You made a funny..! Its better then the Stikas, yes. Roland makes some of the best printers, but as to cutters sorry but no...
Hi SNIPR,
I think your on the wrong forum. This is an RC car body painting forum, not a commercial sign fabrication forum. I can safely say no one here would invest $5,999.00 in a plotter/cutter. Thanks for your informed opinion, however it's not realistic for our needs
regards
caci
Did you actually bother to read anything I wrote..? If you did you have read this part:

No, absolutely hobby grade guys/gals do not need "The Best" plotter but to state the Roland GX24 is "The Best" well....

Also, I will state this. I am not here to Troll or start debates. But what I will offer is any and all help I can to anyone who is interested in this field.
So, if you have questions about software, machines, etc. please don't hesitate to ask.
Oh and I know who you are, I met you awhile back on rccrawler's website. You offered to repaint a body that someone used the wrong paint on my crawler body. - That was very nice of you btw...
