I was thinking about going Vaughn Gittin with the new Mustang. + some meatballs and numbers. If I can just figure out how to get the wheels like that. This pic is from the official Need for Speed Facebook page.

IDK maybe numbers on the rear quarter panels and left corner of the hood.
Sponsors down the door.

Edit: Minus the green covers on the lights.

get a set of the black rims and then mask the center off and paint them gold with the testors gold lacquer spray paint. I did a set of rims all gold about two years ago for a mustang I was running.

Default First Try

Here's my first try at a VTA body/paint.....only my second body that I've painted, so I can only get better from here:

And yes, I know those wheels aren't VTA spec....the local shop was out of front tires, so I'll be borrowing a set at the track tonight....LHS should have them back in stock tomorrow....

We figured you were going to try to run it like that you cheater! Just kidding. You wouldnt be the first that had to order your wheels or had to look around for them. Especially if your LHS is big into dirt. "VTA car? Whadiszat? Reckon I aint never seen one!"

The shell is beautiful, but on your next one leave a little more lexan in the corner between the front airdam and the lower front fascia. If you leave it clear then it wont be very visible and it will really protect that air dam. I had a Cuda that I ran half a month with no air dam at all. It just got beaten straight off the car.

That is great advice, thank you! Also, thanks for the compliment on the shell. one thing I like about VTA is that you don't need flashy flames/tears/etc to have a nice looking, somewhat period correct paint scheme...

I saw someone post once that they just score the whole body with an xacto knife and tear it.....and since the general rule is to cut the body at the body lines, I thought I'd give it a try...I ended up tearing part of the air dam instead...

As far as I know only 2 groups offer VTA. SARCAR over on the west coast and my club Brevard Electric Auto Racers here on the east coast in Palm Bay. I believe we are the only club offering VTA according to the National rules.

Where are you located ??

How many bodies can you get out of a bottle of the Faskolor paints?

I want to do a Cuda and the J71 when it comes out in the Gluf car blue/orange colors.
Can the Faskolors be backed with Pactra colors and be OK compatibility wise?

cool thanks, i checked your club out and it appears to be pretty cool. only thing is the distance for me to drive... only way is if i were to race when my wife and i go to her mom's house in lakeland, i can go racing and she can go shopping, it would cut about an hour of drive time for me...

is there power at the track ?

I back Faskolor and Createx with Pactra all of the time. How many shells you can get out of it just depends on too many things. But I could do a couple of straight colors on a single bottle. If I did straight color shoots. We call them one color wonders.

I think you can take a piece of scrap lexan and shoo goo it in behind that. It will probably reinforce it pretty good. If you do it well.

I know that if you use faskolor flourescents, do not back them with the canned white overcoat..it will crack. not sure about the rest.
