Really??? My hpi 70 boss is holding up quite well. Only thing I dont like is QC on the mold. Its my 3rd one, and all 3 have had some sort ot noticable problem with the body lines. Almost like they got stamped twice, and the second time it was just a little off center.

I noticed the RR fender opening on my Boss 302 was shifted to the rear more than the LR. Kinda frustrating after you've spent a bunch of time/money getting a new body together. I also noticed the front spoiler is scary thin! But with some Shoe Goo it appears to be holding up okay after its first race day.

I think you are right there was only 3 J71's in the Amain at the Southern Nats.

Rob King...Winner of the Southern Nats used a J71
Mike Jones and myself both raced the Javelin in the A-main

I have tried just about every body out there there isnt any advantage over the next. Yes each does feel different but it doesnt equate to any faster lap times. Its mainly the looks and how well it holds up. I personally like the Pegasus Mustang and the Javelin. Both hold up well and last for a while. The HPI bodies are nice but they all get damaged rather quickly IMO.
Maybe my mistake, but I thought Rob was running the XXX-S. So, if you were running the J71 as well, that means you were in the gold colored ride. Your car was certainly good, that's for sure. After all the craziness settled down I ended up 10th at the Southern Nats .

I think he told me it was a Pegasus. He said it was rare so i was extremely careful when I painted it.

Myron - thanks for the pics - LOL!

Kevin, I definitely remember your car now and we talked while waiting in line once and you even let me check out that Losi too. Sorry for the mistake. The gold car I was speaking of can be seen here in the rolling start video....and I believe it was a J-71

I could be way off, but I thought Melvin was the orange Camaro that traction rolled on the first lap.

Racer sent me a photo of his PROTOForm TA mounted up. Whatever body you are running, the vintage five spoke Cragar SS wannabes make it look better & VTA!

Default McAllister Mustang with Joe Myers decals

This was the latest body on my son's car.

The McAllister 69 Mustang with some custom stripes and decals.

I am fairly new to on-road racing. Here is my VTA that I just finished. I still need to add the number plates to the hood and trunk.
