VTA is pretty popular in Gilbert Arizona. I painted up a 1969 George Follmer body for a big event there. Cool to see all the Vintage paint schemes.....

Or if you like shopping online - STORMER HOBBIES carries most of the McAllister body line, as well as Gary's number decals and other accessories.

Here's the link to the Mustang VTA body

Just click the image!

Cheers. Want to give one of these a go at some stage.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Yes, all paint on the outside and yes rust color on the inside just in case some of the paint outside gets chipped off. There was a simular car posted a while back and I thought I would give it a try. As they say "Imitation is the secerest form of flattery."
There is a YouTube video called How to rust a model car part 2 that really explains how to get that effect in detail. I added some of my own ideas and so should you. Have fun with it. It took about 3 weeks to complete.
I am not a pro. I'm a truck driver. Its all about the fun.
Thanks again and if there are any questions I will gladly answer them.

This is becoming a regular occurence. I made some comments about your first shell back in 2010. Definately going to give a rusty a go. Thanks for your tips. I guess with a rusty, it doesn't have to be perfect...... A mistake could be a unique 'feature'.

Guys- I can't seem to access the other VTA thread.

What are popular chassis for this class? How old a car can a guy run?

Sorry for clogging up the wrong thread.

You can get into that thread, you just can't go to the last page because of an error. To answer your question, just about any chassis can be competitive. You do not need the latest and greatest and that is what the class is designed around. TC3-4-5, TA-05 are some of the more popular resonable cost cars used.
