That looks great, but tell him not to run it. Those bodies are crap. I had the same one and it cracks with even the slightest tap to the front end.

I have found the key with ANY of the VTA bodies is to make sure the foam bumper on the car is close/touching the front of the body. Most of the VTA bodies have a large gap between the body and the bumper and filling that gap will make the body last quite a long time. HPI sells self adhesive foam bumper spacers that work well for this purpose (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXST41&P=7).

Many VTA drivers will also use a bit of Shoe Goo in the corners of the body to help reinforce the front end. The combination of a good bumper and strategically placed Shoe Goo will help any of the VTA bodies last for at least several months of hard racing.

Default Dick Trickle Purple Knight Mustang

Hi, I'am doing a Trickle 1970 mustang a purple one and the first white one. I'am from Trickle's home town, and know him really good. I have the last real Reffner Blue knight in my back year. I ran it for 6 races then sold it, and got it back. The trickle mustang, I have not gotten it done yet, but it will be at least a week to get it done. I race in Wausa Wisconsin, and live in Wisconsin Rapids. I have not raced in 18 years and just started again. Its all new to me. The one with the most toys wins!

I ran one of the Pegasus Mustang bodies for a season and a half before the body even cracked .Every one of there bodies I have gotten is pretty thick on the front, maybe you cut into the shell to deep on the front . I know it has no protective film on them , not saying you did.

Oh yea! Tamiya gunmetal and orange go nicely together.
