Sometimes I put more decals on my VTA bodies, but I usually try to find vintage ones to keep it correct for the time period.

Default Driftstar 1969 Camaro

I bought a Driftstar slider a few weeks ago and finished the shell over the weekend.

I'm hoping HPI comes back and we haven't seen the last of this shell.

Haha, it actually was not intentional! The little nut fell off when I was running it a few weeks ago. I just replaced it with a new one, maybe I should take it off again! However, that's really the look I was going for, a stripped down racer with basic steel wheels. Glad you like it!

Not my paint job. And, probably not "Spirit of VTA" but I wish I could free hand flames like this.

THAT is the Spirit of VTA. Your cars always look great Ed. I agree, that they should be period correct at least in intent if possible. Something that could have run on the track back then.

[QUOTE=BobbyS;4670667]Hate to be an old maid about this, but for the sake of the kids -- heating the can even with water from the tap can cause the gas in the can to boil after only a minute or less, even if you only warm half the can. Please don't try this at hnmome without adult supervision! [/Q
