I have been using Bob Dively liquid mask in the past with reasonable results. I put it on with a brush and have to do a few coats to get it thick enough to come off easily. I recently used Parma liquid mask and put it on about as thick (maybe thicker) than I had the Dively mask. I have to say that I am very disappointed in the results. It was as though there was no masking at all, despite multiple coats. Has anyone else had any problems and/or any suggestions? I still have 1/2 a bottle or more and would prefer not to throw it out.

Winter is here, so we are done racing in Flagstaff for the Winter. There is a new club and track in Phoenix. Very nice outdoor asphalt track. The East Valley RC Racers are off to a great start.

New bodies for the new track....with a little Hot Rod heritage thrown in too..

Going for a family look on USGT and VTA.....

You need to update us on well you "DEW" with that paint scheme. Looks good.

Could you please post some pics of the inside of the body and roll cage?

The cage is just painted on the windows, the car has no real interior. The painter did a great job of making it look like there is a real cage.

Outstanding work! I want to try those techniques on my next body.

Here's one I did for our local VTA competition in Australia. It's a car raced by Kevin Bartlett at the BAthurst 1000 in the early 80's. (thanks to Anthony for his assistance with the vinyl cutter to make the paint masks. ) Logos are all paint.
Chassis is an Xray T3 '12.

I would love to do a replica of this car for VTA. My hero as a kid was Jerry Hansen who was owner Brainerd International Raceway, but was also an amazing driver.
Looks like a Z28? Wish I could find more pictures of this car, so I could get decals made.

We have an IROC Camaro that is pretty close, but the late 70s are not allowed in the VTA rules.....unfortunately.

Yeah, I know. I like the HPI 68 Camaro and would probably just use that.

I think the McAllister 1970 Camaro would be a closer approximation.

Did a quick yahoo search for Jerry Hansen 44 Camaro and found these side photos of the car. Hope this helps. I added the information where the photo was taken above the image. Website where the photos came from is shown in the lowered right corner of the photo (http://www.comicozzie.com)
