It's reflex to put it here. VTA is what we paint. Plus a little USGT now and then. I don't guess anyone has ever tried airbrushing dye on to lexan. I suppose it has to soak to be of any effect.

Why don't you save that one for the Southern Nationals and get a one color wonder to beat up in the meantime. That looks too nice for club races.

As suggested, save that beautiful body for a special race. Too much time put into it to be savaged at a regular club race.

Every body I paint has alot of work in it. I like having a good looking body on the track. It doesnt matter what kind of race it is. One color bomb paint jobs get under my skin. I realize that not everyone can airbrush bodies themselves, or pay someone else to do it, but it just erks me when I see someone not want to take enough time to even mask off the widows or put any decals on. If all you can manage for whatever reason is one color, thats fine. Take some time with the mask and decals at least. Put on the lights and widow trim. It really helps those bodies look better. I realize some my bodies dont fit the suggested guidlines for the class, but then again niether does a car without headlights or windows. I also get the idea of a practice body, but dont most of use just use a old beat up body for that anyway?

We cant be too scared to mess these bodies up (within reason, replacing after one or two races is excessive) Thats what they are there for. Besides, a destroyed body just gives me an excuse to come up with a new paint scheme.

I have even offered a couple of the locals at my track to paint bodies for them (at no charge) just bexausebin general I like to do it and it helps calm my ocd-ness with one color bodies.

I'm the same way. There's a bit of pride showing every time I set one of my cars on the track shod in my striped livery. I don't get to race that often these days, so maybe I'd feel a bit differently if I could race on a weekly basis.
