There are already BMW 2002s available from HPI... among others. They are for the Cup/Mini chassis cars.

And those were the U2 class cars, and not in the same class as the larger ponycars. There really were not foreign cars racing in the main Trans Am class back in those days, with VERY few exceptions. Not likely to ever be allowed in VTA, though. You'd be more likely to see them in a Mini class.

Did you just announce there's going to be a MINI VTA class !!
Just kidding of course. The idea has been brought up before and it seems there's at least 4-5 bodies available. Maybe soemthing for the future.

Lynn, I think the 69' could be done with decals. Only real difference was front corners and the duct in the upper rear quarter panel if I remember correctly.

I totally understand they were U2 class cars. I would just like the option of running a BMW in VTA. I also realize the car would look very out of scale by comparison. I'm just not a "pony car" guy. At least I can get a Javelin now. I'm so sick of Camaros and Mustangs it's ridiculous.

True! I'm a 12th scale guy at heart, and I remember 3 or 4 years of nothing but Protoform Nissans. Right now in 12th scale there's almost as many decent body choices as there are in VTA. It's pretty cool.

Great minds think alike.

Throw some gunmetal on top and do it anyway.
