that only happens when you have alot of lacquer in your paint, try liquid mask, and don't even bother with the masks supplied with the body.

i recently quit using liquid mask and only use masking tape and the window masks provided. i painted approx 20 bodies last month and used the supplyed mask with everyone. you just need to make sure you keep your coats thin, and try not to heat the window area so much, i will sometimes get some lift around the edges, just keep pushing it down with your finger, i have not had a bleed yet.

I do have a tendency to rush so i think the coats were way too thick and didnt
leave enough time to dry in between i would hate to have to thow away $50 in bodies

Is there a way to remove all paint to start over ? what kind of paint thinner is safe for lexan ?
I would hate to have to thow away $50 in bodies

Thanks For Help

my only suggestion is to stop using the hairdryer so the mask doesn't shrink.

The only reason i used the hairdrier in the first place is cause i read to in a magazine to prevent bleeding it said the heat would seal the edges good.I used low heat and let the body cool down before painting.Funny thing is the
2 bodies that got messed up were both 1/18 X ray bodies but i also did a 1/14 body that came out perfect. could it be the supplied masks from Xray the packages looked a little old ???

If removing lacquer from lexan, mix lacquer thinner and denatured alcohol about 1:1. The alcohol will dilute the thinner and the paint should come right off. Try on a piece of scrap lexan first. If the lexan starts to cloud, add a little more alcohol
