So, what does everyone think about other people copying your designs for either personal use or for sale.
i'm far from a pro painter (actuallym i'm barely a painter at all ) but i think that copying designs is fine aslong as you give the original painter some credit for the design

Default body mount holes

this may sound like stupid question for most but how do make holes for the body mount after the car is painted? I've been looking at the designs here and they seem to be painted first before the holes are made. How can you see where to punch the holes?

Trinity make body mount tool that is 4 sharp spikes fit on body posts. Work real well. Sometime if you shine a torch under the bodyshell u can see a shadow of the post and make a mark like this.

What if I make the holes BEFORE painting? What's the downside to this?

For my own bodys and for my race buddies we mount the body holes first. If a customer gives me a body with no holes in it ...well thats thier bad. It is hard to mount them afterwards, but like someone else said there are post caps that have a sharp point on them to help in the process.
Paul.........
