Hey all! I am getting back into the mix and will be painting up some bodies. Quick question, where does everyone get their hexagon/honey comb vinyl mask? I want to add that into my new bodies
Painted this for a friend, he's a bit fussy.
Funny how my phone camera interpreted it though

Haven't painted in years, but here starting to get back into the hobby. Painted up 2 protoforms for myself and the Denver Broncos is a spec class for my son. All hand cut.

You guys have some awesome skills. I can paint but not up to your level yet. I have a project that I would like a killer body for. How much does it cost to get a car body painted?
Here is my project its a one of a kind custom open wheel Super Nitro RS4 with Wolfpack Radical hop-ups:

I would love to see some ghost flames on it similar to this:
Any idea who can paint like this or where I can learn to paint like that?

I've tried doing "real flames" on some bodies. They turned out ok. The problem is one goofy flame and the effect is ruined. There are videos on YouTube that show the technique and approach. Keep in mind you have to reverse some of the steps since we are painting from the inside. Two-stage airbrush is important too. They say to practice on glass. Easy to clean later.
Your local motorcycle/Harley dealer can probably turn you on to a talented airbrush artist locally. They get paid better than RC body painters. So expect some $$ for their work.

Most paint work goes from $50 to $100 in my experience. That's not including the body or shipping. It's about $10/hour seems like. Maybe $15.
