Cheese City is going to post videos and pics from the weekend on Facebook. If they post the oval races, I will post them here also. Pretty uneventful racing with the low turn out and cars that dropped out or could not stay to race on Sunday due to the weather.

I'm still debating my oval future, there is one race I'm thinking about attending this year but its not still the end of September, our luck it will rain. Besides battling the rain there was a lot of trying to get the track ready. Wish there was more of a 1/5 influence around here.

Midwest Championships at Deadend 8/10 - 8/12. Awesome track.....BIG and a lot of grip.

We started off this year with a small hand full of racers .... I think were up to 20 now .... I think this gas thing will get big in the next 5-10 yrs ....

I managed a hobby shop. We had an indoor off road and oval tracks. Oval went crazy. From 5 to 10 racers every other week. to 50 to 60 every week. Lasted 2 or 3 months and died. Off road came and went.....on and off. 50 racers one night, next week 10. You can never count on anything.

Im saying this as I look back 30 yrs ago at the gas weed eater boats ....Slow ....Pos at first .... Nitro was King in r/c boats ....Electric was the same way ....Electric has blown up Big ..... Nitro is still cool but going down hill .... IMO gas has lots of advantages .... The cool bodies hill makes has helped the looks a great deal .... Part of the problem with everything is cost .... I saw a $ 200 motor claim rule ... This is a good ideal imo ... One of the problems with r/c races is no one see's them ... Most the races are in a field out in the middle of no-ware ... We have a fair race up this way that really cool .... Let me look and see if i can find the video of the gran stands ....
