I saw a thread that said it was hacked as you said. Don't know how they will bring it back; but it will have to have a new name and address to protect against the hackers hitting it again.

If whoever hacked it deleted everything, and there were no backups, the site is literally devastated. They would have to start over from scratch.

A boating forum I belong to got hacked a few years ago, all the info was ether lost or unusable there for the site had to be rebuilt from the ground up, everything was lost. Lots of these special forums are privately owned and cost time and money, facebook is free.

Default Classifieds

I really miss the classifieds. The Facebook page posted above is good but I refuse to join bookface so I cannot post or reply.

Can someone point me In the right direction To pick up a decent nitro late model? I have been eyeballing a jrc on eBay for 150.00. Were they decent? I don't see a listing on cw page anymore for nitro kits.

Default JRC

The terminator based nitro cars work well. The only Problem I have seen was caused by too much chassis flex on a kranzles version . JRC probably fixed that issue.

There is absolutely nothing true about this statement whatsoever. I have personally reconstructed 2 hacked vBulletin sites to 100% function and both still have the same name/URL/server/IP address. The resolution is to close the hole previously exploited. Thats what prevents future hacks. Moving and renaming a vulnerable site doesn't make it not vulnerable.

Most all of the typical vBulliten hacks are spam types. They aren't aimed at destroying data so much as flooding the site with their penis enlargement ads.

The end result for someone who doesn't know how to remedy it is an unusable forum but they can usually be revived with some database cleanup work. The site and its files would need to be reloaded and updated but the database is the critical component and where the info is. The site files are secondary.
