Since i have the DBXL that using the ni-mh batery was giving me "#$"#$"#.....

Killer RC 2s li-fe 6.6v 2600mah for 40€?
Killer RC taller cover for lipo & receiver for 30€?

How about 2s 1450mah from Turnigy for 14€ that will fit nice? Giving a 2900mah 2s 6.6v that will move the servos like it should, and not kill them like a 2s lipo will do?

-GRRRR nimh, bye!!

-Two 2s 6.6v wired in parallel.

-Also made a cover for ther balance plug. I have the Deans cover...not on pictures!

No need to remove & open the box with all the stress that involves. Just conect cable and charge on the GO!

Servos now do move...and are still safe. Need to test it, but now i see no point on changing them before they die.....later 7.4v will come...but for now....

SHAME that they use a 1700mah 6v ni-mh from stock!

AHhahahhahaha.....

So my springs keep getting out the shocks... think it's the shocks alloy collar fault...

-An easy fix...is using the same collars on top on bottom...

-The springs now won't spread out anymore!

-Also some shock socks! :P

-Left and right...any diference?

Godd to another bash session witouth springs poping out of the shocks!

A little more stuff done oin this slow build! :P

-Covered the holes of the motor, with high temperature silicone... this is going to be a basher..and i do not want to ruin it on the first bash!

-This 50€ motor mount...is all i need for the conversion! Batery box and esc tray i will use some plastic box's i have at home... (it's for the Losi 5T, and needs a little dremel on the stock holes of the engine mount, not a big deal), and will fit nice! Without extensive mods...just a little drill and that's it!

-Locited everything and it got a motor! :P

Well it runs now!

Did install the ESC...

-Wired 2 more capacitor's (2200uf 50v) in parallel to avoid some ripple current to the ESC. And smooth start's!

-Put a "custom" glitch buster (just a capacitor 4700uf 16v)) wired to the rx...to avoid brownout's!

-Wired to the PC, for selecting the setup i want...

-6.5v BEC and 30% Brake! No more changes! It had 5.5v BEC and 50% brakes!

Now time to make the first video!!

Hot. Interested in hearing how it runs under full throttle

Also did you really use a chainsaw to open rc box?

Yep, chainsaw! lol

Well after a while the protection on the ESC kicked in...it was on 200A? I changed now to 220A...there is still 280a or disable...and i think disable option will cook my XT90 conectors...we will see!

I made a video...it's cooking! Wait!

I'm looking for anyone who has a Turnigy 1/5 Scale 23CC 2WD On-Road Race Car. They have been discontinued, but I would like to buy one.

Specifically, I'm looking for feedback on quality.

Thank you
