I think we should start with carpet, then paved and dirt.

ROAR hasn't supported *any* oval racing - dirt, carpet, asphalt, indoor, outdoor, you name it - since about 2009.

DODC (dirtoval-dot-com) and TOUR (Team of United Racers) picked up the "support".

The TOUR Nationals were held at The Gate in Brunswick, OH, last April.

Jimmy,

IMHO you got that backward.... RACERS didn't support "ROAR" for Oval Racing and didn't like the way ROAR worked (because they couldn't get catered to) so both went their own ways.

ROAR needs to be about ROAR Club Members - not once a year - JOIN for the NATIONAL TITLE to try to get sponsorship - or RACE 1 race to be able to SELL "ROAR NATIONAL CHAMPION" kits/motors/batteries/tires etc.

RACERS (most who were not even ROAR Club Members) complained about everything ROAR did -- nobody wanted to JOIN and SUPPORT the organization, they just wanted them to make good rules so they could steal them for their own agendas.

NOTE: I am also NOT a ROAR supporter, but for many other reasons...one being that IMHO - ROAR Needs to be FOR "Club Members" and do more things that promote R/C through "Club Race" activities - and ONLY Allow "Active Club Members" to participate in Regional, State and National Events.
