Default 12th scale oval Gearing question Please Help!!

GTX
4cell GP3700's 1.197v
Fresh Binary Roar Motor with 4499's and purple springs
draws 14amps @5v on the Turbo

131ft driving line.

What do you think would be the best gear ratio to start at????

Lester:

Somewhere between 100/28 and 100/32 depedning on diameter of the tires and how the car is handling .... One thing to keep in mind, if you race 1/10 scale stock on the same track, try the same rollout for the 1/12 scale!

Thanks for the advice, the only problem with using the same rollout for 1/12th scale is that our 1/10th scale class is 6 cell and 1/12th is 4 cell.

Maybe you should try aound a 80/15 or so. That way we know where you will be.

It seams to be that last year they where running aroun 100/32 according to jim b
