Bolink has gone out of business so finding one of the old school late models can be a chore. Sometimes they do pop up on eBay every once in a while. They never worked very well (bad aero) so you can usually find them cheap if you find them.
Currently, there are only three real big producers of late model bodies, and only two of them make bodies for touring car chassis in both electric and nitro chassis widths. Both McAllister and Factory Works (formerly A&L) make bodies for 190mm, 200mm and 235mm width chassis, to cover everything from narrow pan cars, to gas and electric touring cars, to buggies and specialty-made dirt oval cars like Intimidators and Dominators. The craftsmanship on both of these company's products is first rate. I have one of each in front of me, and they are both very realistic and of high quality.
Custom Works still makes wider bodies for their cars (generally like 8.5" wide oval cars) and can still be found easily. The CW cars really don't look much like contemporary late model stock cars, though, even though they may be aerodynamically superior on the track. I have seen a few guys slice the wide CW late models down the middle, take out some width, and bolt them back together like real short track stock cars. They can look pretty cool if done right. The wide CW bodies won't fit a touring car chassis without a lot of massaging. They are considerably wider than you need.
I do believe that Parma makes a funky looking dirt oval late model body for TCs, too (has Parma EVER made a body that looked good?). Not my taste, but it is another option. I believe it was a 190mm-based body for electric cars.
Personally, I'd look to
Factory Works and then to
McAllsiter for my late models. Both long-time supporters of dirt oval racing and nice guys, to boot.
