Default Brushless motor timing

Is there a way to turn up the timing on a brushless motor without the use of a programable speed control?? If so, how?

Some motors can be adjusted like brushed motors. Turning the endbell and LRP X-11/X-12 can be adjusted by turning the timming input.

What about the Novak SS motors. We have one car in our 21.5 class that runs away from the rest of us, and in a spec class with non programable speed controls, that seems strange to me that one car can have that much extra power and finish 5 laps ahead of everyone else. When this occured in 13.5 latemodels we found it was due to one racer using a mamba max pro that was turned up to c.h.e.a.t. mode. After that we all had to go out and buy the mamba to keep pace. I know this isnt a gearing issue, already checked that.

The SS motors had a little timing adjustment. On the black cap end, loosen the 3 screws and the colored timing ring can be moved, maybe an eight of an inch and that's about all your gonna get. It has some notches in the ring. May need a screwdriver or something to move it. Won't move easly. Scratch a mark on the can so you can always put it back to where it was. Move the ring towards the 3 solder tabs to advance timing.

Interesting...
Does this also affect the temperature of the motor?

Looking at the endbell, which way clockwise or counterclockwise?

Counterclockwise adds timing.
