Cool 6 Cell Stock And Mod Pancar Oval

Built up a brand new L3O last weekend, just got back from racing...absolute BOX STOCK finished 2nd, 1.76 seconds behind first. I didnt fair so well in mod, stock car with no wing doesnt go too well with an 11x3

Anyhoo, this the thread for just that, stock and mod oval.

Usually the first race out will be your best. You have got to go through your bearings and keep them clean and properly lubed. Also check your diff action. If its not smooth you must rebuild. Don't for get to keep and eye on the t plate and shocks. the rest is motor and gearing, and yes handling.

Get a wing, BRP Bi level, and mount to pod. It helps even on stock.

The BRP wings suck, they break too easily.. spen $3, buy some lexan, cut out sides, servo tape them to say a buggy wing. They are flexible, storng and offer great handling.

I made my own before but I'm getting lazier in my old age and I have stopped hitting thing and people with the car. I am finding my driving is so much better that I have been able to either keep away from the stupid drivers or just back off and pick a better spot to pass. Why wreck yourself if you don't have to. I have been hit many times but I don't see were that would make me build wings.

Besides you miss a level of consistancy with pre made wings.

Difference is this one is just for oval, not onroad as well.

Mad Max- I bought a brp wing once, clipped a corner marker, rolled over and it broke. The quality just isnt there in my opinion.

JPH theres a chassis named after me? wow, im popular. No i dont race one of "your chassis" but i did mod mine for lighter weight, and have built some fiberglass Play chassis, just for looks, not to race.

why? you sponsoring? lol

My bad - someone actually deleted the thread named "Oval" which was the third besides 1/8th and 1/10th On Road.

No biggy.
