Default HPI 5B questions

My brother bought the 5B, I believe its the ss edition from his buddy and we have some questions.

What tires are good for riding in loose dirt and hard pack dirt? I have a xp3-ss 2.4ghz tx and rx that came out of my AE SC10 will that work on the buggy? Also I attached some pictures to find out what the little black box next to the rx that is connected to the steering servo. The picture didnt come out to well but it has a set button and two light with status

HOSTILE tires are great it depends on what your budget is I guess

I ran PRILINE trenchers and wprked fine on dirt

as far as what that black box is it looks like a fail safe

any radio witll work on the baja but I would recommend a futaba and a kill switch is a must

I had a run away baja and cost me a lot of money cause I hit a truck

doe sit run when it's on the ground?

I would doulble check your linkage and your servo and make sure they are both working fine...that's the only thing that would cause your buggy to get stuck like that...also make sure there is nothing comming in contact or disturbing the linkage
getting a kill switch is a must for reasons like this

Maybe it is a clone Baja, the motor it has is 29cc, the 5B ss doesn't come with that motor. Only thing is see that is HPI on that is the rims. Or am i wrong on the motor? What else can I look for to see if its a clone.

Out of all that all I can remember is that my wheels do have HPI on the spokes. The tires are pro lines. I'm going to take a look at the receiver box today. Also the servos aren't HPI brand either.

So the buggy is a clone. For a couple more bills we could of boughten a new KM. We contacted the seller and he agreed to give us half the money back because he stated it was an HPI and when we told him it wasn't. He knew it was KM but lied to us.

it's suppose to help in a runaway situation but it doesn't really help....get a killer rc kill switch

most of the HPI parts should fit a clone, what part do you need?

Do they have a website where I can see the kill switches?

I need a wing, front bulk head and rear and front shock towers. Do you have parts for sale?
