Why would there be an 1/8 scale race at a 1/5 scale Nationals???? Don't misunderstand--I LOVE 1/8 cars--but this is a race for 1/5 scale cars only--it IS the National Championships of 1/5 scale. I don't think they have other scale cars at the 1/8 scale--or the 1/10 scale or the 1/12 scale Nationals--why at the 1/5 scale Nationals race?? Rubber and foam tires are not really compatible together-- as was evident at the regional races. Rubber lays down more rubber--foam doesn't-- it lays down foam rubber. Not the same compound which reduces bite for the rubber tires.

I think Nelson is reffering to the 1/8 buggy based chassis' that run on rubber tires.

Oh sorry, yeah--rubber tire cars would be compatible-- those are the ones that were out at the Regional Race? Those are very cool little cars--they seem very fast and handle pretty well. But still--mixing scales seems a little weird-- but if they have rubber tires-- I would see where you wouldn't want to run them on 1/8 scale race days either.
