Qualify starts right after concourse.
If you want some run time(non controlled, free practice) the track should be ready to run 7ish.

FUN DAY TODAY!!! Got lot's of running in-- learning a little more how to drive these things!! Gonna have to build my new car to see if I can make it handle as good as the "fast guys"!! The F-1 car handles ok--but it's not capable of keeping up with Bob/Jay/or Tony. Guess I'll have to play "follow the leader" in that class for sure. Then the GT/ Street car is really good with the new "C" tires on it. WHen I change them out to play--the car is definitely NOT as easy to drive. It's got plenty of horsepower though!! I'm sure the other guys in the class will be tough too. The weather is near perfect--80 degrees and sunny--the BITE is REALLY GOOD!!! It will be interesting to see if the cars can go the 30 minutes or not. Seems you can really hammer the throttle--and that will make a big difference in gas mileage!! Ya gotta make it to the end to win!!!
Thanks to all the guys that setup the track--wish my legs would let me help. Maybe when I've lost the weight I'm working on--it will get better!!

Had a great time this weekend..Want to thank Greater LA for hosting the event and all the guys that helped with track set up and clean up.

I also want to thank Shaw and Ray Takahashi and the rest of the Contrast crew for all the help and for making the last 2 or 3 months of 1/5th scale fun for all of us nitro guys. Victor from V-Speed, thanks for helping out with power and also taking the time to visit my pit and give me some 1/5th scale tips.

I can not find the best words to appreciate all for the event.

Congrats to Tom Wong for the continuous victories on the Street Spec class
by driving very basic RTR Ford GT40.
Also Nakahara TQ'd and victory for the Street Performance class.

Rory, I was so busy taking your job while your absence on Saturday

Mike Jones really gave us exciting scenes all the time to promote this big show.
Qualifyiers(one more lap than the official TQ record this time) and,Main(A big Victory)....almost get there every body said our cars turns and accelerates way better than.........
But anyhow Mike,you really gave us fantastic time. You should have no braek time since Chris,Ray and Michael will be ready to put you behind them with powerful Vspeed motors.
I hope your success for KO racing Event in this weekend.

WOW! What a weekend, I am beat! Congratulations to all of the winners. The program went really well and I hope to see all the 5th scale guys back out for the November races of the GLARCRC 5th scale series

Great time at the ROAR Championships!

Excellent work led by Shaw Takahashi in promoting 1/5 racing in So Cal! Shaw has motivated so many people to help improve the racing and it showed with a large participation in STC, GT, F1, and the new Street class. I'm especially excited to see all the new racers that have seen how fun 1/5 scale can be. For years I have hoped for more parity at the top of the STC class. Now, it is here and I should be more careful in what I ask for .

Thanks Chris, but don't worry, you didn't knock me out of the race. My clutch bell locked up, which is why I was stationary at the end of the straight. At that point my race was done. Theere actually was no damage from the collisions.
