Default L8ight

hope i made the right decision to rebuild my old offroad 8ight(rather than buy new). from springs to shocks and bumpers i have about 200 wrapped up in it. my question is next week when i assemble it what diff&shock oils should i aim towards? unless the oneway does too much i will likely stay stock for for now. i figure there are set up sheets for oval 8ights? thanks for help

Howdy!!!!!

The easiest and fastest way to find out would be to go to the Losi web site and download the L8ight manual - it should have all the information you would need including what shock springs and pistons are included in the kit.

I would add that the kit works VERY well 'out of the box' so to speak, so duplicating that set up should be a good place to start!

I don't know ANYTHING about 1 ways - except that they are not 'legal' in some parts of the world so it might be wise to check the rules of the track/tracks that you plan on racing at so you don't make a wrong 'first impression' so to speak!

Enjoy the L8ight when you get it done - it's a GREAT car, lots of fun and very realistic to drive!

RIGHT ON JOE!!!! NICE PICS!!!!!

Im waiting for the goods to show at the door. i see white, purple and black springs on l8ights and i have them all from my 8t. i got the high rate springs in package 2(i think i got 3 now from losi wharehouse). im less than 2 years into nitro 1/8 offroad racing right now but no oval at all, guess im trying somthing different for a while pics and vids are hooking me. that 125/50/10 i figure will put me in a good spot to start. got some losi tires(the good kind) but see that there are ofna with belts. are these for concrete. also are the ofna cheapies with the 5 spokes any good?

You may want to look into some foams from www.rc4less.com he also has a soft and hard spring set for the losi

Default tires

yeah foams are the way to go i usally run the ofna blue dots but they dont last but maybe two weekends the rc4less is a much better tire and bsr just came out with them not to sure yet if i like them some peaple are running them but there struggling to get them hooked up my suggestion is rc4less but we run on hard packed clay if your running on loose dirt i would stick to the rubber tires hope this helps
