Default Convert CEN Matrix buggy to 1/8 Late Model

Has anyone ever tried to convert a CEN Matrix buggy over to an 1/8th late model? I've got a Matrix collecting dust and the LHS just built a oval track so I'd like to see what it would take to convert it over and make it useful again.

Did you have to install different shock towers or did you use the same towers? Not sure of making changes that would lower the chassis to the ground.

well in the diffs i have fr 300,000 center locked rear 5,000 i used the factory shock towers just found a set of threaded buggy shocks reacently mounted for more adjustability and tuning as for shock oils it depends alot on the track banking and surface it is a really good car in the super late model class im usually in the middle of the a main if you have any more ? let me know

A CEN super late placed 2nd at the 2009 Chili bowl, I was running an Ofna Ravager and came in 4th, the rest were Losi L8's, its more about setup and driver than brand of car. The class was designed so people could take their 1/8 buggies, whatever brand, throw some mounts, a body, and some tires on it and have a ball. Ive seen just about every brand of buggy converted from the cheapest of cheap, (the LX/ultra ofna cars which are fragile and suck, high maint, but some people do well with them) to the most expensive cars and do good. Get the car with the best parts support in your area and have fun.
