Default Narrowing the Losi slider front end

Hey i just bought a used 1/10th scale slider and i'm in the process of getting it ready to race in a couple of weeks. The track i run at mostly run Custom Works and other brands. They also run pink foams all the way around. I have already swapped out my front axles to get the right length needed for my rc4less fronts. I did notice however that the front width is wider than the rear. Has anyone tried to narrow the front end a little to get it 10 inches or lower? I've looked at maybe redrilling the stock front arms or maybe even replacing with some shorter arms from other manufactures. I just wanted to find out if anyone else had tried this?

If you read some of the Slider threads here and on Dirtoval.com you will find your answer. Looks like many mods have been tried for the front tires.

What are the benefits of doing that?

Narrowing the front end will increase steering response, but can lose stability. The stock axles are too narrow for regular wheels to fit also.
