Default New Losi slider

Are they any good and if not what other options do I have other than conversions. I can run electric with the nitros at the local track. Thanks

dynotech tranny or a b4 trans, damn near a drop in btw, some have good luck with just a metal idler in the stock on, an 8.5 brushless, springs, oil, tires, there you go. Nice cars, seen them bring down quite a few CW cars, not to discount a CW chassis by any means but they have shown some potential

Thanks, I was going to sell my 8.5 brushless and started thinking it might work will with the sprint car so I'll hold onto it. Now I'll look into the rest of the stuff.

You will like the slider, 8.5 is plenty of motor since the car is very light.

Thanks, I just sold my 5r roller today so will head over to the hobby shop to see what he can do with price. I was thinking the 8.5 brushless would be a little much for this thing.

Were going to run them with 17.5s at our indoor oval. I've heard the stock trans can't handle much more!!!!!

I'll have to look into these trannys on what they run. I'm guessing I won't find used ones online. I got a bunch of extra motors in a trade so I'll get to play with a few motors.

I ran an 8.5 in mine with no issues, just heard stories and a guy gave me a metal idler so I put that in, but there were no signs of damage inside when I took it apart and I bought it used.

The higher bite track you run on the more trouble the trans will give you. But that also has to do with the way you pull the throttle. I have one with 5.5 brushless and b4 trans, everything has been fine. The car handles great with very little changes. so just give it a chance, the more you drive this car the more you will like it. good luck

Where is the best place to get a B4 tranny? I think I'll pickup one of these and go from there. Talking with another guy on here about his but there are a few on ebay ending today.

We have guys at our local dirt oval and carpet oval running the 1/10th Sliders with the new Losi aluminum idler gear and they aren't having much trouble. Some are running the stock electronics and some are running 13.5 brushless. Most are running Lipos and the cars work well and take a beating. You can get all metal gears for tranny if you search E-Bay.

Our track is high traction, but I'm going to bolt in some heat this summer!!

I believe Dynotech sells a trans for the car as well.

I've been racing my 10Slider virtually every weekend since I got it last October -- Only lost one diff gear (my fault -- an error during a rebuild)...

2 MONTHS on the current rebuild (using the aluminum idler gear) with 'Green Slime' on the gears...

I'm using a 19t Money motor, with the LOSI replacement HD ESC -- running 'race' quality EnerG4600's and 25C 2S LiPo on an indoor "buggy tire" dirt oval...

Thanks for the info. I hope mine will be her in the next couple of days. Where is the best place for spare and extra parts?
