its actually a rather easy build. id say around a 3 with 1 being easy and 10 being hard.

the instructions are very well laid out and easy to follow! this really makes it pretty easy. the packages are well labled, though a bit weird in layout.

the parts are easy to work with cuz they are bigger, almost every bolt has a nylock nut on it. if you built/repaired/fixed any rc before, and can read english or japanese, you ll have a very easy time with the build.

to help you understand some of the process, how large it really is, and how easy it is, follow this link

www.hpibajatutorials.com Fast Eddy has made this Video Tutorial Site to help doing work to our baja. I believe he has a video series outlineing a SS build as well.

Have fun and enjoy. the Bajas are great. I have 2 heavily modified bajas myself.

If you have ever built a kit you will have no problems my 7yr daughter could put it together... You just need a little more room.

You can do it! Seriously...like Timmah said, it has very good pictures and detailed manual. I have put 2 together and it is a fun build.
You need alot of room though to spread everything out, and if you hit a snag post up and someone will help you.
HAVE FUN!!!

Yes like everyone said it is rahter easy.

Only thing I would add though is take your time. It really is a great build and I am not sure why some people race to have it done. I see posts were people are so proud that they had it build in 10 hours..... Yea don't get it. I took a week to build it and looked forward every night coming home and building another section.

With the video tutorials from TFE and the instruction manual, it should be a piece of cake.

Building the big Baja is no problem. Just take your time. Read the manual then look at the You-tube video like Timmahh said. It took me 3 days to build. I was not in a rush. I think it's best to build it because you will mod your Baja. The only problem after you build your Baja is that your nitro's will be neglected!! you have been warned!

Oh yea, on a scale of 1-10. 10= most difficult 1= very easy.
The Baja build is a 4 for it's ease of assembly

Easy if you got the right tools. I would go get a set of hex bits and a ratchet. A good set of T-Bars would help too.
