Here are some pics of the prep work being done at trap for the 1/5th scale worlds to be hosted there.

New pot holes to slow the cars down in the pit lane. LOL

Destruction and construction of the driver stand...was moved back by 2 meters to allow for better view of pit lane entry and to allow for wider pit lane.

TRAP have just revamped their website in preparation for the worlds events they are hosting this year. They are still in the progress of adding all the info on the different pages, but it looks much better than the old site already, go check it out at http://www.trap.co.za/

I will mail one of the organisers and see if he has some. Here's two aerial shots of the venue. The 10th scale track is a new developement so can't be seen in the 2 pics.

You can view the legend of the second pic on their site, www.trap.co.za

TRAP is probably the best facility in SA, there are a good few which come close, but they are definately the forerunners when it comes to facilities. Go check out there website for updates.

1:5th Worlds layout.

The pit and driver’s stand areas have remote monitors to allow race control updates to be viewed by all drivers.
A Public Address System with remote microphones for officials is installed and
covers the entire area, as well as the Pit lane separately.
In the Pit areas electrical outlet points are available (220VAC - 50Hz)
Compressor outlets and wash-up bay is provided near the covered pit areas.
A communication/press office is available with internet facilities including on-line banking facilities.
Adequate toilet/restroom facilities are available on the premises.
Large, secure parking area
Catering facilities

Some other facility pics.
