Default Baja 5b Super Late Model

Sorry guys but I have to show off my latest project.

I still have a lot of work to do, but after paint and "mock-up" I got excited and had to show her off.

1/5 scale HPI Baja 5b, O'Neil Brother 29cc "Stuffed", DDM Dominator Pipe.

I think she's the only Baja/Late Model. The body is all custom from scratch.

Slick, bro! Did the buggy wheels fit right on or did you have to make some mods? Never seen a 5b in person...

No. I used Dark Soul wheel adapters for 40 series wheels. Those are actually 1/8 scale "Monster Truck/Truggy" wheels and tires. I felt they gave it a more "Scale" appearance.

Wow, thats cool. The size really dwarfs the little bit of the wheels we can see. How soon before you're going to have it buzzing around? Love to see a video of it!

I'm hoping to have it ready to put on a track in about 2 weeks. The only dirt oval big enough to run it on is about 2 1/2 hours from me.

If I get to take it to the track soon I'll do my best to get some video and post it.

They run those at Muskogee Oklahoma. There was one on display at the RC Chili Bowl this Jan. Pretty sick stuff. The bodies are pricey though

Wow...I'll seriously have to look into that! Thanks for the info! I'm still massaging this one. Hope to be RTR in about 2 weeks.

That's the first I've heard of a class for these and OK. isn't too far to go to race!
