Default How Long PTX Transponder's Backordered?

I have emailed PTX but no reply. Looks as though ALL the PT's are on B/O. I have heard great things about them and need to order a couple. Just curious as to how long it will be before they start shipping.

I have actually been looking into these a little bit but I don't get the difference between these and the AMB PT's. I am newer to rc but wanted to start racing in April when my club opens up again.

Is it just a different company? From what I have read, correct me if im wrong, they work with the AMB systems? And they are cheaper?? If that is true why wouldn't you get one of these over the AMB pt?

I appreciate the help in advance.
Ryan

EDIT: there are a few on ebay if you shop there.

They work with most AMB systems but I dont know which ones. They are essentially cloning AMB transponder frequency #'s. So, if you have an AMB, you can have them clone it and all your pt's are the same for each car. Or, if you dont have an AMB you can just purchase one that they have already assigned a # to. Thats what I want to do.

There is another thread on here that the PTX people respond to, put your questions there and you will get an answer faster. Everyone who has used these says they are great. The are smaller and cheaper than AMB and you have choices of type and color of light. If you happen to use one at a track and another racer has the AMB with the same number, you can actually change the number of the transponder and eliminate the conflict.
