Default Losi BK2 Oval setup.

I just got a Losi BK2 and am planning to run dirt oval with slightly banked corners. Where can I find a dirt oval setup to get me started?

I Googled Losi BK2 forum and this thread was on top: http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...losi+bk2+forum

Interesting since there are no posts other than the original.

what kind of track are you running on tacky clay, loose dirt, what tires are you running buggy tires, foam tires? are you running a stock buggy body or a Imca body or a EDM body?

A Speedys kit would help.

The track will be tacky to hard packed clay. I will be using clay swicths to begin with and an EDM body.

Thanks, if I had a B3 or B4 I would not be looking for an oval setup. lol.

I will be running at Silvis and Newberry's mostly.

Just to make sure we are on the same page, by setup i am looking for camber, springs, and shock oil wt. etc.

for camber links in the front I ran in the middle on the bulkhead and outside on the caster blocks
For the rear I can not remember because I think that I was running the new EA3 shock tower.

For springs start out running the car like it was set up as a buggy for a high traction track than tune the car to your likings

so probably start out with orange front springs and probably pink, white, or red rear spring than if the car is traction rolling go to a heavier front spring, if the car becomes loose soften up the right rear but also remember if you stiffen up the right front and the car keeps traction rolling soften up the left rear because that means that the right rear is rebounding to fast and dumping on the right front.

lets see if this might help you

the 40 wt oil is probably the best way to go other wise I would try no higher than 60wt oil at the most.

Thanks Pilgrim, between your and rccar306109 suggestions I should have a good starting setup.

if you want just pm me and I can help you if you have any other questions.
Last summer I ran a Bk2 on a indoor high bite oval with pink tapers so conditions sound like the are pretty close.
