Yep, thats right a Slash based 1/8 2wd Electric Late Model. Brought to you exclusively by your friends @ Unique Motorsports and BrandO Built Racing Components.
Losi L8ight Model Body fits perfect without any modification to the truck or the body.
We were even able to utilize the stock rear bumper and add a scale appeal to the rear of the Late Model...
This is the coolest feature yet. This Slash features a very low center of gravity via a custom BrandO Built chassis.... If you really want to see a Slash get around a Dirt Oval this chassis is HOT!
What do you guys think? Ideas, suggestions, comments? Post up...let's hear it.
Thanks guys. The wheels are actually Pro Line Epic Beadlocks with a set of BrandO Built dust covers. They work really well for the application and they look very scale at the same time.
Hey Guys, My name is Brandon Ouellette. I am the BrandO that Harold is referring to. I built the chassis shown in the pics. We have had a ton of inquiries about the chassis. And very positive feedback from all who have seen it run. We are planning a test tomorrow with a couple of the chassis. We are trying to narrow down a shock setup as well as other minor tweaks. We hope to be able to sell chassis kits in approx. 1 months time. Drawings are being done at the moment. And quotes for cutting and machining are being looked at.
DARN IT!!! Someone beat me to it but it looks awesome.
Now I know what it looks like I will do it. thanks let me know the cost of the chassis that looks cool.
this is about the SWEETEST conversion I have ever seen. I thought slash off road was great this thing is awesome...definitely a show piece even if it doesn't work well.....keep us informed EH!
We ran a couple of the chassis today. They did very well. We worked thru some tire and spring combinations. We where a little surprised. But the stock Slash tires where the best. I am sure the track surface had a lot to do with it. But today the Slash tires where the best choice. We now have a better idea on what is needed for camber and shock setups.
Best of all nothing bent or broke. And trust me they where tested in the durability dept.
I think the class has some real potential. They are a lot of fun. And just like the regular Slash they take a beating. I forsee many more in our local area.
Yes, these were indeed a lot of fun today. I am sure there will be many more in the area when more people seen them run. I am just happy that I was fortunate enough to wheel a BrandO Built chassis today. I am very happy with the setup as of now.
I don't think anyone got any video today. Our Buddy Scott Hinson got some nice pics. The cars with the Black/red body and the orange/black body are the Brando Built chassis. The other two are variations of stock Traxxas stuff.
