We are planning on running a Slash Late Model class at the local dirt oval and local dirt tri oval tracks around here. Plans use stock Slash and 1/8 LM body. Mods to shocks, springs, spacers, and radio/receiver; rest stock. Should be fun. If chassis is reasonable, we may see some of them here also.

Are you asking about the track in the pictures? If you are it is a private track located in someones backyard. Not sure what plans are. But he may be having some invitation races this summer. More info can be found at windyhillraceway.com

When we ran Harolds with the stock shocks. We put on a couple of 2.5 rate springs on the r.s. Helps with the body roll. I have Revo shocks on mine. I have not run it yet. But I think it will do well. I will post some pics tomorrow. Keep us updated on how it runs.

Here is the R&D car. Been working on a front shock tower and bumper. Also have a R.S. nerf car in the works. The shocks are Traxxas Revo. The rears are mounted on the raised boss on the a-arm. Had to drill hole in the boss. But this gets the shocks closer to the tire. In order to get the front ride height I wanted. I used a 1/4" limiter inside the shock to shorten there extended length. I still need to paint the body. But here is what I have so far. We will be running 5-6 of these this weekend. I will try to get some video.

Sick sh!t with a capital "s" on the "sick" man, looks like a blast.

Amazing how perfectly the rear bumper goes with the body. All it needs is a fake fuel tank

Man, those look like fun. We have a track in Missouri that is planning on doing oval racing this spring. I want to buy a slash to race indoor electric off-road, but that season is about over. This mod would make the slash super versatile. I would love to buy one of your mod chassis.

Has anyone tried the LEight body with the stock chassis on the Slash? I wonder how it would get around the oval just stock with a late model body on top or would it ride too high?

Many people have taken the Losi LM body and mounted it ona stock Slash. It mounts right up and works ok. You do have a lot of body roll and is kind of hard to drive. This chassis just takes it to the next level. Moves the CG down and to the left. Helps in the handling dept. Actually wheelbase, Suspension, and body posts are in the stock Slash locations. A stock Slash body will fit right on my chassis.

Thanks for the information. I am definitely interested if you ever decide to sell your custom chassis. That looks like a perfect solution and is the best of both worlds.
